Yep the inevitable happens

Im feeling OK at the moment, as everybody realises life meanders along at a fair old pace. Things change around you and you have very little control.

I dont like that, i want control of my life, any suggestions?

Race 4 Life - Cancer Research

[link]

About 3 years ago we were given the devastating news that my Aunty Jen had breast cancer. This came as a big shock as her own mum had only just died of cancer.

We were determind to stay positive and my Aunty Jen was willing to have any treatment available - She had her breast removed and endured 3 intense Chemo-therapies and 1 Radio Therapy session.

Things seemed to be looking up.

My Aunty Jen then started with a cough around Christmas 2005. A chest x-ray revealed that the treatment had not worked and the cancer had spread to her lungs.

We then knew the cancer was terminal but we still remained positive as the doctors were still offering treatment to help shrink or keep the cancer at bay.

Sadly after 3 long years of battling my Aunty Jen lost her fight with cancer on 14th October 2006 aged 56.

I miss my Aunty Jen very, very much but I know that she is no longer in any pain.

So please help myself my cousin Joanne & Sarah her friend raise lots of money for Cancer Research.

Events like Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research UK is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us now you could help more people survive cancer.

Donating through the site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us - Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
